There's a definite theme to our photos. Did you notice?

OK, I've moved this bit out here because otherwise it appears on every page, and that gets a bit dull...

Mostly I take pictures of people in costume.
I fill in what details I know about each of them, but please feel free to let me know peoples' real names etc, where I don't already have them, and I will update the page.

Click on each thumbnail to see the big one.
The PICT???? files are from the Minolta (probably taken by me),
and the DSCN???? files are from the Nikon (probably taken by Mandy).
The full-size original versions from the Minolta are 2560x1280 and 2-3Mb, which is enormous,
and the ones from the Nikon are 2288x1712 and 700-900K, which is still pretty big
so I upload lower quality1280x960 reductions, which are about 100-200K each.
(Except for the '98 and '02 Con photos which are 640x480 and that's as good as it gets.)
If you would like the original of any of them, I will email it to you, but PLEASE don't ask for all of them.
On a decent photo printer they print superbly at A4, and ought to be good at A3 or even bigger.

Camera details:

Mine is a 5 Megapixel Minolta Dimage 7i, with a 7x zoom lens (30-210mm equivalent).
It looks and handles like a 35mm SLR, even to the manually operated zoom ring.
It has exposure and focussing modes coming out of it's (non-existent) ears,
but most of the time it stays in full-program Auto as that works pretty well.

Mandy's is a 4 Megapixel Nikon something-or-other with a 3x optical zoom.
It's light and compact and fits into her handbag, none of which statements apply to the Minolta.
It too takes very nice photos, but doesn't have as many buttons as the Minolta.

I also have a 1.2 Megapixel phone-type camera on my Palm Zire 72.
This takes half-decent snaps if the light is good enough, so a few might crop up here and there.

I won't bother to mention the cameras we all have on our phones...
