From here. Visit the Download page for full instructions.
Installation instructions are also on the Download page.
Registration instructions are on the License and Support page, and also in the Help file which was installed with the program.
When the program is first run, you need to specify which embroidery format you want to use.
From the View menu, choose Options, then choose the Formats tab:

Select the format(s) you want to use.
If the program is unregistered you may select one format, and
the Native (SFU) format will not be available.
If the program is registered you may select two formats, in
addition to the Native format.
Click OK, and restart the program as instructed:

Now select Open from the File menu, and you will see your chosen format(s)
in the drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box:

Select one of these, and you can browse for files of that format.
You can change your selected format(s) any time you like, but you must close and reopen the program for the change to take effect.
Note: This information is also in the Help file, in the section entitled Running the Program.
Check out the Catalog Tutorial Page.
Check out the Break Apart Tutorial Page.
You can only do this if you have registered the program, since you need to have both SEW and JEF formats selected in the Formats tab of the Options dialog box (which is available from the View menu).
There are two ways to do this.
Open the SEW file you wish to convert.
From the file menu, click Save As...

Change the selection in the drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog

Click Save, and your design will be saved as a JEF file. The original SEW file will be unchanged.
Note: If, once the design has been converted, any part of
it extends outside the new hoop area, you may receive a message that the file
has not been saved.

However, it has still been converted and you can move all the design inside
the hoop and save the JEF file normally.
You can change the hoop size of a JEF file by selecting Hoop Size from the View
menu.
Open the SEW file you wish to convert.
From the File menu, click New...

Select Janome JEF file and click OK. A new empty JEF design will be created.
Return to the SEW design.
From the Stitchblock menu, click Select All.
From the Edit menu, select Copy.
Return to the JEF design.
From the Edit menu, select Paste.
Make sure all the design is inside the hoop.
You can change the hoop size of a JEF file by selecting Hoop Size from the View
menu.
From the File menu, select Save to save your new JEF file.
I have created a patch which adds the 8" x 8" Extra-Large hoop to
the list of available hoop sizes in the JEF file format.
I will make this patch available on request to registered users only.
Registration instructions are on the License and Support
page, and also in the Help file which was installed with the program.
